Mobile Barista & Mobile Coffee Catering: What to Expect on Event Day

From setup to last pour: what hiring a mobile barista and mobile coffee catering service actually looks like for weddings, corporate events, and private parties.

Mobile Barista & Mobile Coffee Catering: What to Expect on Event Day

Booking a mobile barista or mobile coffee catering service for the first time? Here's a clear walkthrough of what to expect — so there are no surprises on event day.

    What is mobile coffee catering?

Mobile coffee catering brings a fully equipped espresso bar — cart, van, or trailer — and a trained barista to your venue. Guests order café-style drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, cold brew, matcha, chai, drip) made to order, on site, throughout your service window. It's the difference between handing guests a paper cup of lukewarm coffee and giving them their drink, made well, by a real person.

    Before the event: planning

Booking takes about five minutes online at mylatteda.com/book. You'll share guest count, venue address, service window, and any dietary preferences (oat milk, sugar-free syrups, decaf, etc.). We'll confirm power access — a single standard 110V outlet is enough for our electric setup — and parking for the cart or van. Larger events get a custom menu and signage; corporate clients can add branded cup sleeves.

    Setup: 45–60 minutes before service

Your barista arrives roughly an hour early to roll in the mobile espresso cart or position the van, dial in the espresso, heat the milk system, and arrange the menu board, cups, and pastry display. Setup is quiet and self-contained — no plumbing, no generator, no smoke.

During service: how fast does a mobile barista pour?

A skilled mobile barista produces about 30–50 drinks per hour solo, and 60–100+ with a second barista. Drip coffee and cold brew go even faster from batch dispensers. We recommend a 2-hour minimum service window so every guest gets a drink without a rush at the end.

    The menu

Standard menus include espresso, americano, latte, cappuccino, mocha, cold brew, iced latte, chai latte, matcha latte, and drip coffee. Dairy options include whole, oat, almond, and half-and-half. Flavored syrups (vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, lavender, sugar-free) are included. Add fresh pastries and breakfast bites to round out the spread.

Indoor or outdoor — both work

Because our bars are electric, we serve indoors in hotel ballrooms, offices, and lobbies as easily as outdoors at weddings and corporate offsites. There's no gas-powered generator humming next to your guests — read more about why silent, generator-free service matters.

    Pack-down

Pack-down takes 30–45 minutes. We leave the space cleaner than we found it.

What to ask before you book any mobile coffee caterer

    1. Is the bar electric or generator-powered?
    2. Is the barista a real espresso pro, or is it batch-brewed coffee in disguise?
    3. How many drinks per hour can one bar realistically produce?
    4. Are milk alternatives and syrups included or upcharged?
    5. Is travel inside the metro included? (See our service area map.)
